Pushing north across the Egyptian desert, the crusaders are stalked by the Oingo Boingo brothers, who pair shapeshifting with a Stand that draws the future as a comic strip. The pair self-destruct in slapstick fashion. Oingo uses Khnum to take Jotaro's face and plants a bomb exactly as his brother Boingo's Thoth prophecy showed, only to misread the prediction and blow himself up. Then comes Anubis, a Stand bound to a blade itself: it possesses anyone who picks it up and, worse, memorises its opponent's sword technique so it grows stronger every clash. It hops from body to body, ending with the barber Khan, hunting Polnareff with his own Silver Chariot moves turned against him. The fight is settled underwater, where the blade is finally cut apart with Jotaro's help, sealing away one of the strangest enemies in the arc.
